About The Nearly Normal Podcast

Two real therapists. Real talk. Real humor.

Nina Quinn, LPC, NBCC

Licensed Professional Counselor · Nationally Board Certified Counselor

Nina is a licensed professional counselor with over a decade of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She specializes in anxiety, life transitions, and relationship dynamics — and has a particular gift for making people feel seen without making it feel heavy.

Outside the therapy room, Nina is a mom navigating the beautiful chaos of everyday life. She started this podcast because she kept having the same conversations with friends, family, and clients — conversations about how hard it is to be a human, and how much lighter things feel when you can laugh about it.

Kate Quinn, MSW, LCSW

Master of Social Work · Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Kate is a licensed clinical social worker whose practice focuses on depression, self-worth, and the everyday stress that doesn’t always have a name. She brings warmth, directness, and a well-timed sense of humor to both her clinical work and her hosting chair.

Kate co-founded Nearly Normal because she believes that the best therapy often happens in the in-between moments — the car rides, the kitchen tables, the late-night phone calls with a friend who just gets it. That’s the energy she brings to every episode.

Why We Started This Podcast

We’re two therapists who spend our days helping people untangle the complicated, beautiful, frustrating experience of being human. And somewhere along the way, we realized that the most powerful thing we could do wasn’t just sit behind closed doors — it was to take these conversations public. Nearly Normal isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being real. It’s about giving you the language, the laughs, and the occasional reality check to help you live a little more freely. Think of it like a conversation rather than a lecture. New episodes every week.
